How much is material variability costing you in terms of kiln throughput? Are you having to dump clinker because it is out of spec?

Raw Material Variability Reduction Service

Control of raw material variability is critical to efficient cement manufacture. We know how to work with your raw material supply operations to ensure that they provide your manufactuirng process with the right material at the right time to maximise works production.

The rewards from improved raw material variability control will vary with the size of the site and existing practice, but they are often substantial.

Good control of site geology and effective sampling practice can often allow previously unusable material to be put into the process with reduced variability.

Reduced raw material variability
Methodology

First, we look at your geological model to check the data density and the quality of the information.

Next, the mine plan and schedule are reviewed to ensure that the raw material extraction sequence is correct.

Systems to sample the material in the field and mark out the different material types are then reviewed.

Lastly, stockpiling and blending of material is reviewed for effectiveness.

Once these areas have been reviewed and understood, a plan is worked out to fill any missing gaps and implement any improvements needed.

The stress in this service is not just to find problems, but also to work with your staff to remedy them, sustainably.
